Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit

1 out of 5 eggs Barely usable OS 02/28/2012

This review is from: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit

Pros: Let's you use some of the software that only runs on Windows 7. Compatibility mode is a joke.

Cons: You cannot repair the installation is you accidentally delete something - the repair disk created is a myth. It simply won't shutdown is run of the mill security and antispyware products such as CCleaner, Malwarebytes, etc. The security is a joke - you simply override it and it simply does not explain what caused the issue. And don't try to install a product that requires permission - you will receive and error explaining noting about the cause.

Other Thoughts: Miscro$oft have created a useless OS that you simply have to use otherwise you cannot use the most recent software. I have turned to Apple since it is more use friendly and far more secure.

If I get one more error telling me there are applications running in the background and I am required to do a forced shutdown, I will probably turn to Apple full time.

Give me back win XP pro!!
