Spigen Neo Hybrid Dante Red Case for Samsung Galaxy S5 SGP10772

5 out of 5 eggs Exceptional minimalist case 11/28/2014

This review is from: Spigen Neo Hybrid Dante Red Case for Samsung Galaxy S5 SGP10772

Pros: Good quality
Nice feeling materials
Bright color options
Very thin and light
Sharp looking chromed buttons
Relatively scratch resistant
Excellent for covering up a scratched/chipped up chrome rim on S5

Cons: A little pricey
Back could be more grippy
Will not offer a lot of protection. Avoid if you're rough on your phones.
No screen protector included, and not a lot of protection for the front of your device, if that's what you need.

Other Thoughts: Purchased this when looking for a light and thin case, mainly to hide the many scratches and nicks on used Samsung Galaxy S5 I bought. I'm usually a little shy about spending a lot of money on a case, but then again I'm normally pretty careful with my phones.

I picked the red option and this case was the right choice. It's easy to put on and only adds a little bit to the width and depth of the phone. The silver buttons make the case look like part of the phone and have a nice click to them, while the back has a light dimpled pattern reminiscent of the phones regular backing. I wouldn't say that the case adds a lot of grip--it's still a little slick--but the squared off corners make it a little easier to hang on to. Tolerances seem very good and it has a great style. It should be able to take some small bumps and drops but I wouldn't trust it for much more. We'll just have to see how it holds up in the long run.

MSI Gaming N780 TF 3GD5/OC G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 780 3GB 384-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Video Card

Pros: Good performance
Easy to use software
Well built

Cons: Have not tested with overclocking, so cannot say.

Other Thoughts: I had an issue with an MSI motherboard many years ago, but decided to give them a second try when in the market for a GTX 780. All the reviews I saw were promising and this card continually comes up among the least expensive non-reference 780s. So far I have not been disappointed. It's exceptionally quiet and performs well. MSI software appears pretty clean and easy to use. I have yet to overclock this card, but temps appear pretty good under normal use.

Many thanks to Newegg Customer Support for helping me resolve an issue when I placed this order. I have always received excellent service from you guys.

Pros: Incredible deal of a graphics card. Performs on par with some of Nvidia's higher priced graphics cards and while some of their prices have dropped, ATI 4850s are still a great deal if you can find one with a game you want or a rebate. Bonuses:

Single slot.
Impressive performance for a mid level card.
Asus typically makes high quality components

Cons: Drivers still do not properly ramp up fan speed with GPU heat--you'll want to google how to change fan speeds.
Really could have included something better than the stock cooling.
Included monitoring software could be better.
