Excellent Product! Must have!

VMware Fusion 3
VMware Fusion 3

Pros: It lets you run Windows in a window on your Mac. Everything "just works" and in all honesty I can run WinXP in VM on my 2.6ghz MBP with 4GB of RAM far better than my 2.6Ghz Dell with 3GB of RAM.

Cons: Uhh, its not free?

Overall Review: To the person who claims there isn't a license key in the box. Its in there printed at the top of one of the pieces of paper that appears to be standard fluff & filler. Go look through your trash, you probably threw away the key.

Excellent SSL VPN Router

NETGEAR FVS336G-100NAS Dual Wan Gigabit SSL VPN Firewall
NETGEAR FVS336G-100NAS Dual Wan Gigabit SSL VPN Firewall

Pros: SSL VPN means users don't have to have any messy VPN software installed to connect back to the LAN, just go to a HTTPS website, log in, and connect. Basic setup is pretty easy and with the latest firmware (out for several months now) its rock solid and never needs a reboot. I've put 9 of these at customer locations from NC to TX and all work flawlessly for DHCP, NAT, and SSL VPN in small offices (ie, less than 50 users). Never need to reboot.. don't know why some are having this prob. The one under the most load is in our main office (TX) serving 24MB down / 10MB up internet connection with about 12 heavy users in the office and 3 heavy VPN users in TX, MS, and Paris. IPSEC to other NetGear VPN routers works flawlessly, but I shouldn't have been so cheap in our satellite offices and should have bought these for those guys as well as the cheap FVS114 routers I used for those guys don't play well with other devices on the WAN (LAN is fine, just other devices on the same WAN sw

Cons: UI could be easier to understand, manual is worthless, NetGear business support... well you get what you pay for in the networking world and NetGear's business support is so-so at best, but hey, its a LOT cheaper than Cisco's support.

Overall Review: I haven't seen another router that does everything this one does for anywhere near this price that a non network lord (NewEgg, didn't like my first work choice) could setup. Overall this is a great piece of hardware, ordered 3 more today :)

Just works

NETGEAR FVS114 Up to 11.5 Mbps WAN-to-LAN, up to 2.1 Mbps for 3DES throughput LAN ports: Four 10/100 Mbps RJ-45 ports
WAN port: 10/100BASE-T RJ-45 port Firewall 8 with 4-port Switch
NETGEAR FVS114 Up to 11.5 Mbps WAN-to-LAN, up to 2.1 Mbps for 3DES throughput LAN ports: Four 10/100 Mbps RJ-45 ports WAN port: 10/100BASE-T RJ-45 port Firewall 8 with 4-port Switch

Pros: It just works. Set it up to VPN back to a FVS336G which took all of about 5 minutes to configure on both ends; then I shipped it out to a remote user who just replaced his old router with this and was instantly on the office network.

Cons: You do need to update the firmware, but really that just doesn't take more than a minute or two.

Overall Review: It is what it is, don't try to do more than it was designed to do with it.
