Pros: Looks nice
Fan quiet at low speed, moves a lot of air at high
Nice controis

Cons: Halogen bulbs are not very energy efficient. You can find them easily enough in a big box store, but you're probably not using them in anything else.

Other Thoughts: I didn't install it, so can't comment on that, but it's very nice to use.

5 out of 5 eggs Good, inexpensive remote 09/20/2013

This review is from: Adesso ARC-1100 MCE Infrared Remote Control

Pros: Works with MythTV
Decent range

Cons: None serious

Other Thoughts: Can change system key mappings via xmodmap and MythTV settings to get this remote to perform most of the functions I use in MythTV.

Recently started using unit in large room with very high ceilings and now must point unit directly at get it to work reliably. In smaller room, I think signal bounced off walls/ceilings because this was not an issue. 30 ft. range indicated is realistic, but you may need to aim get it.

Ceton InfiniTV 4 PCIe - Quad-tuner Card for Watching Digital Cable TV on the PC, PCI-Express x1 Interface

Pros: works as specified

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Works well with MythTV.

Pairing with cablecard was fairly straightforward with my provider (WOW!) using card's web interface.

Negative comments about small cable between coax and card have merit, but the flip side of this is that if too much stress is placed on cable, the small cable will detach, instead of damaging card.
