This review is from: GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ AMD 990FX + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros: Nice looking (if you like black). Good variety of I/O ports.
Other Thoughts: Got this board to go with AMD FX-8350 Black Edition Vishera 8-Core 4.0GHz and it works great. Haven't tried any of the overclocking features and maybe never will. Runs fast and cool so far.
The only negative I might say is that the UEFI BIOS isn't as clean as what I’ve seen from ASRock; but I don't spend much time in the BIOS, so not a big deal.
Also considered an ASRock "Killer" board; but heard lots about heat problems, specifically on the Northbridge. Got Rev 4.0 of this board, and there is a nice heatpipe for the Northbridge. So far it's running cool (30C) with just the stock CPU cooler and 5 case fans. Probably will add water cooling in the future.
Pros: Semi modular wiring. Power output.
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: Got this because of good experience using Corsair CX500M power supply. So far it's been doing great. Supplying AMD FX-8350 Black Edition Vishera 8-Core 4.0GHz, Seagate HDD, and two older GTX 570 Superclocked video cards, plus 5 case fans with no problem. Draws about 450W under heavy graphics load.
The only con I might suggest is that the main power cable (non-modular) might be a bit short on full tower cases. This one went into a Rosewill R5, which is a large mid-tower, okay; but not much length left for more than that.
Pros: Fans are quiet and seem to move air fine.
Other Thoughts: Two fans included with mounting screws. Easily mounted in Rosewill R5 Black case. You will want to install the fans before installing your motherboard.READ FULL REVIEW
