Pros: Gaming board
Cons: Ethernet died within 6 months
Other Thoughts: Bought this board mid-December for a Christmas present. Within 6 months had what I was fairly sure a bad Ethernet port causing problems. Sent RMA to Gigabyte for repair. When the board arrives I get an email stated the PCB was physically damaged which voids the warranty. I have built multiple computers and shipped plenty of boards, did not send a damaged board in; I know how to bubble wrap / ESD bag a board for shipping. Spent hours on the phone with Gigabyte customer service where they insisted the board arrived like this but after receiving the board back from them at my persistence it was clearly dropped. I'm guessing dropped by a tech covering themselves, regardless they refuse to cover anything or accept any responsibility leaving the cost out of my pocket. They of course can't produce the box I shipped it in but insist they have strict screening and it had to have come like that.
A company can have the best consumer product on the market, if you don't stand behind hit, to include the competency of your workers / staff then it's not worth buying. End rant. Good board, horrible service, won't buy a thing from Gigabyte again; back to Asus.
