Pros: The web interface is simple to make any settings you want to. Range of both 2 and 5 G bands is very very strong and adjustable, you can tweak the output power of the router in the user interface , does not seem to drop connections even at very long distances, speed is great . Best thing is that it's solid and dependable, and I have never had to reset it to get back on the net.
Cons: have not discovered any yet
Other Thoughts: when i retired my buffalo whr-hp-g54, i tried a number of different brands of N routers, and none of them ever came close to equaling the range and dependability of my old buffalo. This router far exceded my expectations for range and stability, which were most important, and connection speeds as well.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Multiple functions, excellent wireless range, very versatile, one antenna can be removed to connect to an outdoor antenna and you still will have great coverage indoors with the remaining antenna, speed when used as a repeater is very good. The firmware can be challenging, but if you take the time to read the manual, you can do a lot with this device
Cons: would be good to have more than one port for a lan cable, the provided port will work for a wan port if used in the router mode... but it would be nice to have at least one port to connect to a switch when used as a router, because this thing acts as a great router
Other Thoughts: I use a couple of these as repeaters to extend my network and they're dependable and the signal is strong.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: HAWKING HAO14SDP Hi-Gain 14dBi Outdoor Directional Antenna Kit
Pros: sturdy, very good signal reception, hi quality materials for mounting on a mast, small enough to resist wind exposure
Cons: none at this time
Other Thoughts: I purchased one this spring to allow access from my shop to my home internet connection. It could see the router in my house....about 700 feet away, and worked well for basic internet, but at times the signal would drop to around 1Mb/s..I Just installed another one of these to a router in my house, an old buffalo whr-hp-g54, dedicated to this network connection. I used 2 30' hawking coax cables connected together to reach the tower (which is a lot of feet of cable considering the signal loss per foot). Both antennas are mounted about 20 feet above ground level, and they have a direct line of sight. The internet really flies in my shop with 5 bars....54Mb per second. By the way, this is wireless G antenna so dont expect to connect N equipment to it.READ FULL REVIEW
