This review is from: SONICWALL 01-SSC-6596 Secure Remote Access (SRA) 4600 Appliance with 25 Users
Cons: Users are always complaining that it does not work. There are non-stop issues with browsers, anti-virus software, JAVA versions and operating systems. The Sonicwall support is very expensive and not very good.
Other Thoughts: We have several of these devices at different offices. No other product at our company gets more complaints than these SSL VPN devices from Sonicwall. Do yourself a favor and go with a different company.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Very low resistance is easy on the hands.
Cons: Terrible cable design. Expensive when not on sale. The partial illumination is useless. Would not work with KVM switch.
Other Thoughts: I use CM red at my office and I have a Tesoro brown at home. I really like the low resistance of the red. I find it much easier on my hands and wrists at the end of the day. It does take a little practice because it is non-tactile. The only substantial problem is the mini-USB cable jack on the keyboard. I've had the keyboard go out a few times requiring me to jam the jack back in to the point where it feels like it is going to break. I don't see any benefit of having a removable cable on a keyboard. It will probably need to be soldered on at some point in the future. The partial red LED illumination is a waste. Either go full illumination or none. The keyboard would not work with my KVM switch, but I've had this probably with other illuminated keyboards.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: SONICWALL 01-SSC-5946 SSL-VPN 200 Gateway
Pros: Simple user interface. Easy to install. Inexpensive.
Cons: Unreliable. Requires frequent reboots. Poor support.
Other Thoughts: I've installed 3 of the SSL-VPN200's for clients and I constantly receive complaints about them. All 3 have the latest March 2010 firmware. The units tend to lock up under moderate use. Cycling the power fixes the problem, but it is inconvenient for the end users to have to call the office. I've had better lucki with the SSL-VPN2000, but it is very expensive. I guess the SSL-VPN200 would be OK for a single user who only needs it once a week. Otherwise, I'd look elsewhere. Also I found the Sonicwall tech support to worthless.READ FULL REVIEW
