Pros: Card works great, plays BF3 with a mix of high and max settings @ 2560x1440 resolution at 45-55fps. Solid 60fps @ 1080p.
While some reviewers have complained about loud fan sounds, I can say that this may just be a result of overzealous cooling on the part of programs like MSI Afterburner. Even before I took an air can to the thing and removed a large amount of natural dust I could hardly ever hear the fans on this card. I've set up the fan speed in MSI afterburner to max at around 45% speed and idle at around 35%. At most I ever hear is a very mild hum, and only in a silent room. It's nothing. While your situation may be different, turning down the fan speed to below 50% even during intense gaming may be a good choice. I've never seen the card break 57ºC, the fan whisper quiet the entire time.
Cons: It's a very long card, so be sure to make sure you have the room before buying it!
Other Thoughts: I've played a little with overclocking this but I'm not very well versed in the practice. So no word on that.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Plainly this is some good RAM. I've had some shoddy, BSOD-causing RAM sticks before but these are solid and high in quality.
Cons: Maybe too much RAM. I've never managed to use more than perhaps 4.5GB of RAM at any one time.
Other Thoughts: Been using successfully for about six months now. 7.6 WEI rating.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: ASRock 870 EXTREME3 AM3 AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros: Nicer-than-average BIOS interface. The simple overclocking options for your CPU were convenient and assuring for a overclocking novice.
Cons: It took six months of use before it became a serious problem, but my motherboard was flawed in its construction. It caused graphical glitches with my GTX460 and would randomly freeze with three different GTX570 video cards. The clock settings for my RAM would randomly change, each time I set the values to the proper setting, going back to the BIOS would reveal that it was set back to some strange, clock speed I've never heard of.
Additionally, the +12V reports would fluctuate regularly (still not clear on this), and one of the thermometers was either broken or reported in Fahrenheit, giving absurdly high temperature reports at all times.
Other Thoughts: Luckily I was able to remedy my problems with the purchase of another motherboard. But the flaws with the motherboard caused me so much trouble and cost so much money that I'm still feeling it.
Two stars because it wasn't outright broken and I won't levy the frustration it caused as a detractor.
