5 out of 5 eggs boght 50 or so of these with zero problems 03/05/2015

This review is from: Silicon Power S60 3K P/E Cycle Toggle MLC 2.5" 120GB 7mm SATA III 6Gb/s Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: I and clients have bought over 50 of these. Zero problems. Good performance with around a 550mb ATTO read speed and 900mb in raid 0 (on newer sata 3 mobos). Write is around half of that on both.

Cons: No cons whatsoever at this price point. I suppose it would have been great to have a maintenance utility like Intel or Samsung does so I could do a manual trim.

Other Thoughts: The affordable price point on the S60 120s and 240s have allowed me to update a ton of older socket 775 pcs which normally are running a 3ghz E8400 CPU. Even though they have the older sata2 ports, the pcs are just rejuvenated and its saved my clients a boatload of dough. When the pc is a HP7900, I've occasionally slapped in 2 of the 120s on raid 0 and that brings the machine up to Sata3 speeds.

5 out of 5 eggs Follow up on 8/15/2009 review 06/27/2012

This review is from: powercom KING RM KIN-2200APRM 2200 VA 1320 Watts 6 Outlets UPS

Pros: Follow up on my 8/15/2009 comments
I have 10 of these units in the field that clients have purchased on my recommendation over the years.
One battery went bad in one unit. Other than that, no problems at all. A set of 4 batteries can be easily sourced for approx 80 bucks when needed for routine replacement every few years (although I've not done so yet - they are holding up fine). I stand by the 5 egg rating for function and price

Cons: None really, especially at this price.

Other Thoughts: You will need a USB to serial adapter if you don't have an available serial port. The Sabrent one works well.
