Pros: Normally super dependable and efficient power supplies.
Cons: The PS failed after about 18hr use. My PC reset a couple times. Finally it failed to post. I swapped in a spare Corsair unit to confirm the bad supply. I'm sure one of the rails was low. I had to pay $12 out of pocket to get the defective unit replaced by Newegg.
Other Thoughts: The Corsair rebate process is irritating. I generally like Corsair power supplies but their rebates anger me.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: AVerMedia AVerTVHD Duet - PCTV Tuner (A188 - White Box)
Pros: Two tuners on a single card. This is really nice for ATSC users. No need for a signal splitter which introduces >3db (1/2 power) signal loss.
Cons: None now.
Other Thoughts: Last yr with this card in my old HTPC/W7x64, it would just stop recording. Recording could be restarted manually again. Some kind of driver issue. It only happened with a couple channels. At the time AVerMedia recommended updating to the latest drivers. This made no difference. With my new HTPC/W7x64 this card works perfectly, using the same driver release as my old system. Old mobo (Asus AM2 M2NPV-VM), new mobo (Asus i5 Maximus-III-Gene).READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Low cost.
Plenty of performance for a HTPC.
Worked straight out of the box with W7 Media Center.
Cons: Takes up 2 card slots.
Uses Sp/Diff input wire for HDMI audio unlike newer hw. Not a big deal.
Other Thoughts: Good easy to setup video solution for low profile HTPC's like the Antec micro 350 fusion.READ FULL REVIEW
