1 out of 5 eggs Failed in 3 months 05/19/2013

This review is from: ADATA 16GB Class 10 Micro SDHC Flash Card Model AUSDH16GCL10-R

Pros: - Low price

Cons: - Failed (corrupt data). Both my android phone and my digital camera have problems accessing/writing data. Some data just gets corrupt and unreadable

Other Thoughts: Started having problems with it fairly soon after purchase (withing 3-4 months)

DELL Desktop PC GX270 Pentium 4 2.8GHz 512MB 80GB HDD Windows XP Professional
  • Owned For: more than 1 year

3 out of 5 eggs Way old, but still capable system 11/04/2011

This review is from: DELL Desktop PC GX270 Pentium 4 2.8GHz 512MB 80GB HDD Windows XP Professional

Pros: All the pros disappeared with time. Fast system for its time. Still runs my XP and Ubuntu fairly quickly. Drivers are easy to find

Cons: It's about to be a decade old! Slow for today's requirements.
This model (GX-270), as mentioned in other reviews, is known for blowing capacitors, but the newer motherboards after refurb are probably fine. Also, BIOS for the motherboard (at least the factory one on the motherboard I have) only supports default IDE drive configuration, and it can be annoying. I didn't find a newer BIOS to reflash, though I did not really look hard. Motherboard features are very limited too.

Other Thoughts: If you only need browsing the internet and doing basic stuff, or setting up a home server kind of stuff, then you will be able to get away with it. Forget about advanced graphics tasks, games, and heavy applications of today. I would not recommend using anything younger than Windows XP, or you can go with Linux
