Philips Sonicare HX6511/50 Easy Clean Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Compact body, compact charging base (small footprint on counter), light weight.

Cons: The wire for the charging base is still stiff, just like the Elite series, plus there's no compartment to hide the wires since the base is so small.

Other Thoughts: I've found third-party brushes online, I've never seen third-party brushes for other models.

GTMax Super Slim USB 2.0 Mini Keyboard (78 Keys) - White/Silver

4 out of 5 eggs Mac Compatible 09/14/2012

This review is from: GTMax Super Slim USB 2.0 Mini Keyboard (78 Keys) - White/Silver

Pros: Similar aesthetics to the wireless keyboard from Apple, so it wouldn't look out of place next to a Mac. Economical.

Cons: Painted plastic base flexes. Looks cheap when placed right next to real Apple keyboard.

Other Thoughts: I needed an USB keyboard to do one of the diagnostic procedures for the Mac--PRAM zap. For over three years that I own the Mac Mini, I have always used the wireless keyboard, but until recently, I realized I needed to use hardwire connected keyboard to do the pre-boot procedure (pressing command + P + R), as the wireless (bluetooth) isn't recognized until the OS is loaded. Since I probably only need to use an USB keyboard once very couple of years, and when I do, I only need to use just a few keys, so I didn't want to spend the extra money to get a genuine Apple USB keyboard. This keyboard fits the bill and is about a third of the cost compared to Apple's USB keyboard.

i-rocks IR-5300M 12-in-1 USB 2.0 Card Reader

4 out of 5 eggs Compliments Macs 03/01/2007

This review is from: i-rocks IR-5300M 12-in-1 USB 2.0 Card Reader

Pros: Compact (2.25in x 3in x .75in), same color scheme as Macs, even the USB cable is white. I haven't done any benchmark test so I don't know if the speed is good.

Cons: I always find the 3-sided slot arrangement awkward. It would be better if all the slots are one the same side. Once in a while it wouldn't access the card, so I had to unplug and plug back in the cord.

Other Thoughts: xx is a great price, even with the x shipping cost.
