This review is from: Klipsch STATUS 3.5mm Connector Over-Ear Headphones
Pros: I'm starting to accumulate a fairly large collection of headphones and headsets because I can't seem to pass up a good buy. I purchased these as a possible substitute for my Creative CALs (which are a great set of cans by the way considering the price). The few tech reviews I found of the Klipsch STATUS all read pretty favorable and I figured that the price was right. I use these mostly for gaming, but do listen to some music and do a little movie watching.
Construction quality is superb, at the cost of weight. You can really tell the difference in weight if you swap between the Klipsch and the CALs or other less expensive headsets like the SteelSeries Siberia V2. However, after a bit you get used to the added heft and move on.
Sound quality is very good. Highs and mids sound right on
and I would say that these are neutral headphones. Bass is tight, not overwhelming or in your face (ears). Separation between the L & R channels is good and overall the listening experience is immersive.
Noise blocking is excellent considering that these aren't active noise cancelling headphones. This is achieved with a fairly snug clamping force between the ear pads and your head. If you have a large head you might find these a bit uncomfortable for long long listening sessions. I have a fairly large head so they are quite snug and do require removal or repositioning after an hour or so.
I can over look the weight and clamp force though in exchange for a great listening session. They work equally well for gaming, music and movies.
I replaced the factory audio cable with a self built custom cable and that eliminated the microphonics of the nylon sleeved factory cable (which looked good, but really transmitted noise when rubbed against any surface - especially cloth - aka your shirt or pants).
I like my headphones a little on the bright side so with some minor EQ tweaks I was able to achieve the sound signature I was looking for.
This really is a headphone that benefits from source quality. Using this headphone you can really hear the difference between source quality (i.e. MP3 versus CD or vinyl).
All in all a good buy and I would buy again if ever needed.

This review is from: WD SE WD2000F9YZ 2TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Enterprise Hard Drive
Pros: I purchased two of these drives when they were on sale. One is in an external eSata enclosure and the other is internal. Both are used for storage and backup. Both drives worked on receipt. Both drives were formatted and put into service without issue.
Considering the sale price they were excellent choices. I normally stick with WD Black Editions, but at the time of purchase these were less expensive that the BEs so I decided to take a chance.
Glad that I did.

This review is from: Vinpower Digital 25GB 4X BD-R 50 Packs Disc Model OQBDR04LT-50
Pros: They just work, I bought them on sale so the price per disk was a great value. I've burned backup data and movies several time using this media without issue. No coasters yet, data integrity on burned copies is good.
Cons: No cons.READ FULL REVIEW
