Logitech G700s 910-003584 13 1 x Wheel USB Wired / Wireless Laser 8200 dpi Rechargeable Gaming Mouse
  • Owned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: I've always been hesitant about wireless mice given that they didn't perform very well when initially introduced. However, the G700s is a very nice mouse. I've noticed no lag, even with the sensor plugged directly into the back of my desktop.

The SetPoint software offers nice configuration options. The free-scrolling mouse wheel is also very helpful at times.

Since this mouse is wireless, you don't have to drag a cable around while moving the mouse (unless charging it). This really allows the mouse to feel like its floating across the pad.

Cons: The battery life is kinda short, I have to charge it every other day or so with rather heavy use and it also feels a bit light. Adding another battery may solve both of these issues, however neither of these "cons" would change my decision to buy this mouse again.

The charging cable is wrapped in the standard plastic coating as other USB cables, a braided wrapping would have been great. This wouldn't be a real issue if I didn't find myself using the charging cable so often.

Other Thoughts: Maybe add an extra battery in the next model.

I personally find the mouse wheel buttons a bit tricky to use without moving the wheel so on occasion I find myself wanting 1-2 more buttons, maybe in the middle of the cluster of 4 near the thumb.

GIGABYTE GB-BXi3-4010 2 x 204Pin SO-DIMM Intel HD Graphics 4400 Integrated by CPU Mini-PC Barebone
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: Very small, very powerful, plenty of USB ports. RAM and SSD are easily accessible. Includes WiFi and NIC.

Cons: It would've been nice to have a more supported WiFi card out of the box, had to jump through some hoops to get it to work on linux. An eSATA port would've also been nice but at least this device has USB 3.0

Other Thoughts: Perfect for a home server, HTPC, NAS, whatever. This thing has plenty of power and can easily handle multiple tasks.

Intel NUC Kit DC3217BY Intel QS77 2 x 204Pin Core i3 3217U 1.8GHz HD Graphics 4000 Integrated by CPU Chassis
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: less than 1 day

Pros: Feels solid, chassis looks well designed.

Cons: No power cord included, so you have to chase down a 3 prong cord. With as much as Intel spent on the box they put it in they should have included a power cord. The sound that plays while opening the box was cute the first time, now all I hear is "yes, the box has an electronic chime that plays when opening the box but we were too cheap to include a power cord"

Other Thoughts: Refocus your priorities Intel.
