This review is from: ASUS Z97-A LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: Built a pretty decent gaming system with this MB. Overclocked my i7 4790K with ease. PCIE 3.0 works flawless with Gigabyte 970 G1 Gaming. Not many issues so far.
Cons: Could not get my board to run 2400 ram. There was a scratch on the chipset heatsink which makes me wonder if it was a return.
Other Thoughts: This MB is ok but not that great. When I first bought this board about 8 months ago I had a horrible time trying to get 2400 ram to work. I was in contact with ASUS support for several weeks and went through 3 different sets of ram before I finally settled on just running at 1600. I'm not sure if the problem was my MB or the CPU memory controller and I guess I'll never know for sure.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: I can't believe I actually paid over $250 for a set of ram but these were worth the premium price. My system feels more balanced and powerful. Currently running at 1866Mhz 1.65v 9-9-9-24 timings on an Asus Z97-A mb with an i7 4790K at 4.8Ghz (L3 batch).
Other Thoughts: These are by far the best looking and heaviest ram that I have ever owned. The led's look awesome beside my blue glowing Enermax 120s cpu cooler.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: What I like most about this case is its side compartment. I was able to run every wire except vga through the cutouts and back around to the mb. Cleanest looking build I have ever did. The front hot swap sata is really nice. It was so easy transferring all my storage files to the new ssd I installed.
Cons: The plastic cover on front comes unlatched too easily but is not much of a problem.
Other Thoughts: I'm not sure if my case was a RMA or what but when i got it first thing I noticed was the box had been opened and re-taped. The second thing i noticed was that all the front knock outs were missing. But other than that everything looked like it had just came from the factory.READ FULL REVIEW
