Pros: Monitor has a good picture for the price (when it stays on).
Cons: Monitor fails to stay on for longer than 15 mins. Turns itself off randomly. Wont turn back on for 30+ mins.
Asus refuses to address the issue, even though it has a 3 year warranty.
Other Thoughts: Couldn't be more disappointed with Asus customer service. After years of buying their products and having no issues, I'm quitting their brand based on their customer service.
Sent the monitor in for RMA for the power issue after 6 months (so past the Newegg opportunity). They refuse to fix the issue and are claiming there's a scratch on the monitor, which allows them to void the warranty. Absolutely ridiculous. A scratch on the monitor has nothing to do with the power situation. And the monitor wasn't scratched when we RMA'd it to Asus.
They are playing silly games in order not to repair a low-end product. They were kind enough to offer me the opportunity to pay for them to fix it. $180 to repair a $129 monitor? No thank you.
After years of buying motherboards, video cards, netbooks and tablets from Asus, they are losing a customer.
This review is from: SanDisk 2.5" 128GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SDSSDP-128G-G25
Pros: Quick boot, cheap (got as a Shell shocker or something). Affordable, serviceable SSD.
Cons: None, really. Maybe not the fastest SSD.
Other Thoughts: Dropped this into my 4 year old netbook to bring some pep back to it and give it some longer life. Basically wanted it to be like a Chrome book. Quick to boot.
Does its job. plenty of storage for a Chrome/Netbook style.
This review is from: SilenX EFX-08-15 80mm Effizio Quiet Case Fan
Pros: Quiet, come with rubber mounts.
Cons: Rubber mounts are a little easy to rip with a pliers. Hard to reach the bottom rubber mounts unless your case has a removable mobo tray and you're building for the first time.
Other Thoughts: Just installed two of these in my HTPC to replace fans that were too loud for my liking. Immediately heard (or didn't hear) the difference. Couldn't be happier.
Hard to use the rubber mounts on the bottom inserts (depending on where the fans are located) unless you are installing in the case for the first time. I used the rubber mounts on the top two and the regular screws for the bottom two. All's quiet on the western front.
