ASUS ROG MATRIX-R9290X-P-4GD5 Radeon R9 290X 4GB 512-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

Pros: Running three cards in crossfire. Great that there is no more crossfire finger or cable to connect to video cards. Monitor is 2560 x 1600. Like the fact the video card has a bios reset button on the back of card in case of bad overclock the card rests to factory clocks. The card needs 2 8pin power connectors. Nice to have green lights on power connector when it is plugged correctly. Love the ROG Light on the side that lights up different colors to show load on the card. This card needs 375 watts per card only and that is after calling ASUS support to confirm. Does dump a lot of heat in the case die to after market heatsink. Tested each card alone on full load in AIDA64 67' C, 63' C, 71' C. But with all three cards in system top card gets 94' C at Stock settings. My case is not the best for air cooling a Corsair 750D. CONS: Called ASUS support about repacing the TIM on card was told it will VOID Warranty. Thats why the card has a little white sticker on one of the screws in the back that hold the heatsink.

Pros: Have cards runnng in 3 way crossfire. Great buy on sale from retail price. Was going to wait for r9 390x when they come out. But instead brought this on sale and 3 free games per card is a great deal. On you tube JJ at PCDYI has a great video on the R9 290x matrix plantium cards and the break down of the

Cons: These cards forced me to updrade my power supply. Called Asus tech support about how many watts the cards use was told 350 to 375 watts per card. Went from a antec 1200 watt to ax 1500i. These cards use 2 8 pin power contectors to each card
