Pros: Quad-Core with hyperthreading = 8 CPUs in task manager
This thing is lightning fast compared to the old Pentium D (first gen dual core) I came from.
Im still waiting for my videocard to come in, in the meantime, I connected my computer to my 58" plasma via the onboard HDMI output.
The onboard Intel HD 4000 video supports 1080p when the drivers are in place.
For the heck of it, I started a few games and was surprised that I was even able to play a few with it (League of Legends and Half life 2 based games).
Cons: None so far.
Although...Ive read that the overclocking capability is lower than the equivalent Sandy Bridge model due to heatspreader having thermal paste underneath rather than solder.
And the extra video functionally takes more space, thus concentrating more of the CPU into a smaller area causing more heat to be generated.
Other Thoughts: Exceeded expectations
Great as a single solution chip.
Can play some games on it and you can upgrade to videocard as needed. this gives it good expandability for a starter system.
Awesome investment for a starter build.
Pros: Went with Death Star theme'd build with green LED fans and these babies.
These guys easily turn an ordinarily standard piece of equipment into a showpiece.
These guys are so bright, you can see the light pulsing on the wall through the grill. They shine through the open window quite well.
I don't plan on overclocking, but I'm sure these guys would be up to it with the heatspreader it comes with.
Cons: None at all
Other Thoughts: They can also turn red.
The common knowledge regarding LEDs is:
Blue keeps your computer cool
Green gives you higher FPS
Red puts your computer in overdrive mode making it go faster but run hotter.
By default, these give you higher FPS, but if you wanted them to...you could put your computer in overdrive mode.
Jokes aside...they still perform as expected and look awesome.
Pros: Very quiet
Black rim and UV green blades look awesome together in assembled case.
Even comes with an optional metal grill and 4-pin adapter.
Well worth the cost
Cons: Wish they made a slim design version so it would fit better in the small case I got.
Other Thoughts: Please make a slim design of thisREAD FULL REVIEW
