This review is from: Polk Audio Surroundbar IHT 6000 Instant Home Theater System
Pros: - easy to set up
- plug and play
- great sound
- deep bass
- bass and main volume controls are separate, if you turn the bass all the way down it can take a minute to get to a level that you can actually hear the difference, be patient.
Cons: The soundbar goes to standby after only a couple minutes without receiving a sound signal so if you pause a show/game when you come back the sound takes about 4 seconds to turn back on. It does this automatically, however if you are watching a show or cutscene in a game you miss out on a few seconds of dialog unless you remember to explicitly turn on the soundbar when you get back.
Other Thoughts: regarding my one con: my in-laws recently purchased a vizio soundbar. What it does is whenever it goes from standby to on it transitions the volume from off to its previous level(like turning the volume up) this starts immediately and i like this solution better than just all the sound all at once 4-5 seconds after the sound starts.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Cuisinart FP-14DC Die-Cast Elite Collection 14-Cup Food Processor
Pros: This thing is amazing! we used it for thanksgiving dinner and it made short work of a lot of the effort of slicing, mixing, and chopping. It ran very smoothly then and we have used is many times since then and it has never failed us. I used it to make pumpkin puree to freeze for later and it effortlessly pureed over 40 lbs of pumpkin. It helped me undertake that momentousness task in under half a day. I am not disappointed.
Cons: Sometimes some of the food particles end up in the larger containers when using the smaller ones so you end up having to clean all the bowls but its not terrible.
I wish there was a way to use the smaller bowls without having to use the biggest bowl because there are times when I need a little bowl after I have used the big bowl so I need to empty the big bowl and clean it before I can use the smaller bowls. It just means proper prior planning... but sometimes that is overlooked.
Other Thoughts: This was the first food processor I bought for my wife. I wanted to get a good one the first time instead of work our way up and I am not disappointed. We loved ours so much we convinced my in-laws to buy one.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Maxfield And Oberton Black Bucky Balls Rare Earth Magnet
Pros: fun home/office distraction. I like something that I can be working with while I think. My job requires me to think outside the box often and it is nice when I have something that can keep me focused by offering a controlled distraction. These work nicely for that. They are strong magnets with lots of possibilities for creativity.
Cons: I havent used them all that much but since I have used them my hands have started to turn black and smell like metal. The original coating is wearing off and is making my hands turn black. Also, as the coating wears off it seems that the magnets are having trouble holding the shapes they used to be able to without popping apart, but see other thoughts for more details
Other Thoughts: If the magnets are not aligned correctly they can pop apart while building different shapes and by the nature of magnets this is normal but sometimes it can be a struggle to get the shape you want. of course certain shapes also naturally work better than others because these are very powerful magnets by themselves. I am mostly disappointed with my hands turning black because of the coating wearing off which happened within the first week of ownership.READ FULL REVIEW
