This review is from: ASUS H87M-PRO LGA 1150 Intel H87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 uATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: Decent board, nice layout and a very nice io shield (has layer of foam on back), great expandability for matx board.
Cons: Doesn't recognize Areca 1214i-4i as bootable device... this junk board just cost me some money and time... Latest BIOS version, 1308, does not resolve issue.
ASUS has poor customer support and does not list compatibility for storage controllers.
Other Thoughts: I wouldn't trust any ASUS consumer board to support booting from add-on storage controllers. Lesson learned :(READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD3R LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: Worked fine for two weeks, cheap, decent quality.
Cons: This piece of junk has several bugs, some may get fixed with bios updates, others wont, like my onboard ethernet dying. Gigabyte wants a 2 - 3 business weeks to "repair" my board. Well, no thanks to that. This is the third Gigabyte board that onboard ethernet has died on.
Other Thoughts: Don't buy this board, sure wish I hadn't.
You have to send in MIR within 20 days of purchase, once you do you can't rma or deal with newegg. Bummer, Gigabyte support isn't great.
