This review is from: Nippon Labs 6 ft. Model DP-DVI-6 DisplayPort to DVI-D 28 AWG Cable M-M
Pros: Works well. Seems well built. Heavy duty cable.
Cons: The DVI connector is quite long and bulky, and does not allow it to be used in a tight space or when the the monitor DVI connector is inset into the monitor back-there is not enough physical room. The DVI connector dimensions are 70 mm long (needs 90+ mm of space to not stress the cable in bending), 39 mm wide, 15 mm deep. Unfortunately it does not work with many of our monitors. (measurements are approximate)
Other Thoughts: OK, with DVI plug size caveat.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Plustek SmartOffice PS283 Simplex Document Scanner with ADF (783064425186)
Pros: Uses TWAIN drivers, that work with our legacy programming as well as new programs that use this standard.
Well built, fast scanning. We have been purchasing them since November of 2012 and have more than 37 of them. I cannot tell you much about the software that come with the scanners as we don't use it.
Cons: Every once in a while the power saving time out feature has to be reset so it does not shut down the scanner, but they can be counted on one hand the times it has happened since we have been using them.
We have had 1 scanner that needs to be returned under warranty (actually I think it is the power supply, not the scanner).
Other Thoughts: Absolutely would recommend this to others and have recommended to others that have asked about "a good scanner to buy" for personal use.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Canon Canon 7982A001 Exchange Roller Kit for DR 2050C, 2080C Scanner
Pros: If you want your Canon scanner to stop pulling multiple pages, and the rollers are worn, these will fix the issue.
Cons: They cost too much for what you are getting, but if you need to keep a fleet of older Canon scanners operational as we do, you bite the bullet and pay the money.READ FULL REVIEW
