This review is from: ASUS P6X58D Premium LGA 1366 Intel X58 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: - Longevity. This board is still in use for nearly 5 years
-Nothing fancy, just great minimalist design
-Great heat dissipation and heatsink design
-Very good for overclocking
-Lots of fan headers evenly spread throughout the board
-Currently using a Samsung 840 Pro with benchmarks of ~437 MB/s read and write
Cons: - Being a 3 channel memory design you are limited to 24GB, although I'v heard some rumors of people getting 48GB to work I have not verified this myself.
- Using the 6Gb/s feature works but for some reason bios does not detect the drive connected to the 6Gb port, though it still functions fine.
- A bit tight in the PCI-express section
Other Thoughts: Highly recommended. If they still sold these at a lower price I would buy a batch of them.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Intel Core i7-950 Bloomfield Quad-Core 3.06 GHz LGA 1366 130W BX80601950 Processor
Pros: Performs under pressure, at high temps and will chew up and spit out anything you throw at it. Well suited for overclocking, very forgiving.
Cons: Can get quite hot. Best used with a hydro/radiator cooler system.
Other Thoughts: I've had this beast for over 3 years, nearly pushed to its limits everyday with gaming and video processing. Still working like new. This processor will last long.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: ASUS ROG PCI-E 240GB PCIe 2.0 x 2 MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) RAIDR Express
Pros: Extremely fast read/write rates. Excellent concept that works extremely well. Reliablility-been running for 1 week about 12 hours a day, so far no crashes or freezes. I'm running it on an ASUS Sabertooth Z87 with two GeForce 770s in SLI mode. Abosolutely no problems at all. Just plugged in another 770, linked together with the sli bridge and windows 7 did the rest on boot up.
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: Make sure you dont move the switch to Duo Mode when installing windows OS because it wont be recognized and the OS installation will not be able to continue.READ FULL REVIEW
