5 out of 5 eggs Amazingly Entertaining 06/23/2013

This review is from: Fuse Xbox 360

Pros: If you're looking for a gripping story line in a carefully scripted single player campaign then go buy Tomb Raider, this game is not that. This game is just pure fun. Grab a couple friends or play over Xbox live and slay nearly countless enemies with 4 distinctly different play styles. This game doesn't try or pretend to be everything at once, but what it does try (and succeed) to be is a fun multiplayer game that you can enjoy with 1-3 friends for good times hours on end. I bought this game with the sole intention of playing it with my 2 other roommates for some laughs and good times and it has delivered on that idea flawlessly.

Cons: My only complaint about this game is the lack of levels (6 in the multiplayer 'wave' mode) / weapons...but even that doesn't warrant knocking an egg off in my mind. I just hope Insomniac releases some DLC or an expansion/sequel that adds a fifth character for a new play style and some new secondary guns. But again, this is mainly just because I've already played through the wave levels multiple times.

Other Thoughts: In the wave mode you will never face the same waves in the same order, which keeps some novelty to the game. Once you play it enough you know how to approach each situation, but this randomization ups the replay value substantially.

Acer H274HLBMID Black 27

Pros: Monitor arrived in perfect condition and without any dead pixels! I was also very pleasantly surprised that Acer included all three types of video cables: VGA, DVI and HDMI. The function/control buttons on the lower right are very softly back lit, just enough to be able to easily make them out, but not taking away from the screen either. The menus themselves are easy and intuitive to navigate as well, which is useful since the OEM default brightness is 100 and was far too bright for my liking.

Cons: The speakers are, of course, bad. Then again, if you're going for high quality sound with internal monitor should get a CT Scan. Definitely not knocking off an egg for something I consider solely an added bonus.

Other Thoughts: With the discounts I got on this monitor at the time of purchase I don't think there's any better deal out there. I have had nothing but a stellar track record with Acer monitors and so far this one is easily living up to the reputation I associate with them. Beyond that, from what I have read/heard, Acer (and of course Newegg) does a good job of standing behind their products should they fail.

Eagle ET-AR302-BK 6 Watts RMS 2.0 Black Soundstage Speakers

5 out of 5 eggs Good quality for the price 10/26/2010

This review is from: Eagle ET-AR302-BK 6 Watts RMS 2.0 Black Soundstage Speakers

Pros: Decent sound and basically exactly what I bought them for. They aren't top of the line speakers and they definitely don't sound like it, but for $20 speakers with a nice looking finish they do just fine for listening to music at a medium volume or watching a movie on your computer.

Cons: Definitely not the greatest sound quality. Very tinny at higher volume levels and very little bass.

Other Thoughts: Exactly what I expected, no more, no less.
