This review is from: Bose Acoustimass 10 Series IV Home Entertainment Speaker System
Pros: The cardboard they make the drivers out of is recyclable.
Cons: You'd think for $1000, you'd at least get a sound system that was full range. Bose won't release their system specs because these speakers have one of the worst frequency responses of any speaker on the market. Shoddy construction coupled with poorly designed cabinets = bad sound.
Other Thoughts: Get something else. There are many small speaker sets half the price that will outperform this garbage. Better sound through research? Yeah, more like better sales through advertising.

This review is from: Polk Audio PSW Series PSW505 12" Powered Subwoofer Single
Pros: I've had this sub for 3 years now and I've been exceedingly happy with it, and just ordered a second for another system. It carries the potential to rattle the walls, flex the sheet rock, and force you to buy new picture frames. Super solid construction, and they aren't kidding about the 1" front baffle, it's thick!
Excellent build quality, low profile (as subs go), love the auto-off.
Cons: I'm a bass head, I'd love to see this thing reach a little lower than 23hz, but that begs the "you get what you pay for" speech.
Other Thoughts: Are there better subs out there? Yep. But for the price, I can't really deny the awesomeness of this thing. I have it matched with RTi 8 towers, CSi 3 center, and 3 RTi 4 rear channels. It is cosmetically the same, so it completes the set nicely.
Get it. Now.
