This review is from: GARMIN 3.5" GPS Navigation
Pros: Compact and easy to carry
serves the purpose
Cons: not happy with the suction mount that came along
Other Thoughts: the first one i received could not keep up to the 50m/hr speed, it often missed reading out directions and lost satellite even when passing quick under a overhead bridge. got a replacement, which is working good since June 2010 except the following issue.
it has old POIs like gas stations. i once rented a car and wanted to refill the tank before returning it. hit bp on GPS from POIs which is 2.7miles far after nearing the rental car return location. but it kept on directing me on the same route again and again making circles. i got frustrated and chose a 7/11 about 4miles far and finally reached the gas station. it probably had a old reference to POIs.
i was not happy with the mount that came along, spent 33$ extra to buy a friction mount.
It alerts for the directions in advance rather than at the neck of the moment, which helps to plan ahead.
its a good choice overall.
now looking for a another GPS for my new car, i would consider buying this again.
