Pros: Good brand name we have come around to trust.
Cons: Purchased two, one failed in less than 30 days and made the mistake to return it to WD and receive a re-certified and DOA drive. Now I am on the second RMA.
Other Thoughts: My mistake to call WD instead of returning to New Egg for a new, factory fresh drive. I will see what WD does this time, I hope they send me a new drive instead of a recertified one. This will be the deciding factor whether I purchase their products again in the future. WD Black quality has deteriorated, search the internet for failure rates and you will find a better manufacturer.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Used two of them as RAID1 in a FreeNAS box and forgot about them till now that Newegg solicited for a review. I have no problem with the pair, they do their job.
Cons: No cons when used as network drives in FreeNAS.
Other Thoughts: FreeNAS has the ability to suspend spinning when no accessing for length of time determined by user. This prolongs life of drives especially in rarely used home networks as it is my case. They run cooler when compared to other drives in the same box.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Impressive specs, user replaceable battery, two-sims.
Cons: Cannot detect Wi-Fi 5GHz. Tons of bloatware that is challenging to remove. Low speakerphone volume.
Other Thoughts: Preparing to return it to Newegg. Unfortunately I cannot get a refund, replacement only. I have used many Asus motherboards for several years and have been very satisfied. I am using for almost a year now their RT-AC68U modem and have been semi-satisfied as I had to send it in for repairs recently but they give you two year warranty the best in the industry. I am not sure about this phone until I receive a replacement and have allowed for enough some burn-in time.READ FULL REVIEW
