This review is from: ASUS M4A78LT-M AM3 AMD 760G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros: Cost is a big plus. What you get for the buck is a great motherboard with high quality video options, great sound, Gigabit ethernet, over clocking capability, and is 6 core ready. Plenty of STATA II 3.0GB ports, a ton of USB ports, HDMI and optical out as well. Tons of features for a $70 motherboard. I have been sold on AMD based PC's for a long time. I bought this motherboard and a quad core Propus at 3.1Ghz. Have not overclocked yet as this thing screams already. Installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit in 15 minutes. The utility disk comes with all the drivers you need for the mobo and installed in no time. It has a cool program called "EPU4" which is a tool you run from your OS to overclock the CPU and monitor the system health. This program is idiot proof as it let's you see how well the processor will handle the increase in voltage for over clocking. That way, you can't fry your CPU like you can mucking around in the BIOS to overclock the CPU. Very cool idea. I will be trying it out.
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: Asus mobos are among the best built and trusted in the industry. I have built many custom PC's in my time and I have had only 1 out of box failure in over 50 builds. I am sold on Asus and AMD. My build: Asus M4A78LT-M mobo, AMD Propus AM3 Quad Core CPU at 3.1Ghz, 8GB (2X4GB) DDR3 1600 Dual ChannelCrucial Ripjaw RAM, WD 500GB 7200RPM SATA II with 64MB cache HDD, Lite On DVD Burner, Rosewill Case with 500Watt Power Supply. All told, $475 with shipping. Great Deal Newegg!READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Sherwood RX-4105 Stereo Remote Controlled Receiver
Pros: Cheap and worked for a little while.
Cons: LEFT CHANNEL BLEW OUT!! I bought this thing as a cheap replacement for my JVC reciever that I play my drums to. I have large speakers and need to turn them up (around 48 on this thing) so I can hear the music I am playing to. I used this thing about 10 times in about 3 months and noticed the left channel is out. Good luck trying to find a repair center too, go to the Sherwood website and all it gives you is a listing of repair places in just about every state BUT the one I live in. Called the nearest one in the next state and the number is out of service.
Other Thoughts: I know this thing was cheap, but I do expect A LOT longer life than 3 months with VERY LITTLE USE! Very disappointed in this receiver, did not want to spend the extra $100 or so for the a better receiver since all I do is play my drums to it, wish I did now since this thing is a big paper weight now. Spend the extra money, this thing is VERY cheaply built and will not last the 25 years that my JVC did.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: 160GB of space, 8MB buffer, 7200 RPM. Price with shipping came to less than 52 bucks. I bought this to replace the Seagate Barracuda 40GB drive in my mothers PC I built for her over 8 years ago. Western Digital is a great brand, I have yet to have problems with one. Won't buy another Seagate, the Barracuda drive I replaced had very little use as my mother is not a heavy PC user. Had less than 100 hours total use and bit the dust.
Cons: None so far, Western Digital drives are very reliable from my experience.
Other Thoughts: Well worth the price. For a few bucks more, you get double the size than if you were to buy the 80GB version of this drive. Newegg as always got it to me fast and without shipping damage. Been buying on Newegg for 10 years now, I compare prices with other sites and Newegg is always the cheapest.READ FULL REVIEW
