This review is from: Kingston 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1066 Memory for Apple Model KTA-MB1066K2/8G
Pros: Works great, as ram usually does
Other Thoughts: This ram works great, gives me about 5.54-6.24 GB free ram when mac is running idle. Lowest ive seen with 8 apps running is 3.2 GB free. Absolutely an upgrade for my mid 2011 Macbook pro.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: SAMSUNG USB 2.0 Slim External DVD Writer (Black) Model SE-S084D/TSBS
Pros: - Recognizes on my mac without any delay
- Burns at about the same speed as the internal drive
- slim enough to stay out of the way, big enough to feel like it wont snap in half
- USB powered which makes me feel better about travel
Cons: for some reason, the mac stops reconizing after about 5 CD burns (one after another). Couldnt get it to work at all, so i pulled the power on it, let it sit for about 30 seconds, plugged it back up and it ran fine for the rest of the batch of DVD's, (4 more, one after another). Not sure why it did that, but all 9 CD's played perfect...
Other Thoughts: Not sure if the issue is the mac, usb, or the drive itself. I was about to buy another because I need to burn about 50 CD's, and the mac will burn to as many drives as I have... I might wait and see what happens with this one...READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: APEX TM-302-3 Black/ Silver Steel MicroATX Mid Tower Computer Case 300W Power Supply
Pros: see comments
Cons: see comments
Other Thoughts: I took a gamble on this one, a lot of reviews said it was beat up when they finally recieved it. Mine had a slight punch in the rear corner which made for a tad "dis-taste" for me, but hey, it worked just fine. I used this case for a home security system using webcams and a couple night vision cameras.
most reviews say get a new power supply because the one that comes with the case is bad... I bought a new one at 250W just because I didnt feel like regretting it later on. I can't say whether or not if the included supply is bad. Just be safe, get a new one.
