This review is from: Microsoft Windows 8.1 Pro - 64-bit - OEM
Pros: I've had 7 for a while and really loved it.
My mobo failed, I decided to try 8.1 Pro with new mobo.
At first.. I didn't like it very much but over a little bit of time, I got used to it.
I actually don't mind it at all now.
It's not the best but it's not bad either.
Cons: -Does not support all games.
Other Thoughts: Sadly 7 is disappearing off shelves now.
If you want to be future proof, get 8.
To be honest.. IMO, Windows 7 Pro/Ultimate is the best OS as of right now.
Pros: -Keeps CPU nice and cool (even better then my water cooler did).
-VERY easy to install.
-LOTS of airflow.
-Fits just about any Intel/AMD.
-One of the best (Air) Coolers out there.
Cons: -It's quiet huge, make sure you have enough space in your tower.
I have an (ATX) Z87 GD65 Gaming mobo and this cooler covers up 3 of my Ram Dims. Luckily, I have 2X8GB and 8GB is enough for me as of now so not a big deal.
Other Thoughts: I was stuck between buying one of Noctua's or V8 GTS. I'm glad, I went with V8 GTS because my temps are perfect with this cooler.
I had a Cooler Master Seidon 120V (Water) and it did a pretty alright job. But not nearly as good as V8 GTS.
I have a 4670K overclocked @ 4.4GHz. It idles @ 27C-30C & full load (100%) is @ 60C-65C. I'm quiet happy with these temps.
I would buy another and do recommend it.
-Price (specially since, it's made by Crucial).
-Runs my Windows 8 Pro perfectly (runs 7 Pro just as good).
-Boots up EXTREMELY fast!
-Would for sure buy another!
Cons: -Doesn't make me coffee..
Other Thoughts: It's a pretty neat & quick SSD. Can't really get better for this price.
I also have a PNY XLR8 SSD and I don't notice any difference in speeds. It's another reliable SSD for just about the same price as Crucial M500. I would recommend both to anybody.
Crucial M500 runs OS systems quiet well!
