Pros: This NAS can do much more than my TS-221 (media, virtualization etc.).
All I did to begin with was make sure it had the same firmware updated and put my 2 drives from the TS-221 in using the same order. From there it was operational as the older one was. Running the Plex server is faster and the 4 each 1GB LAN connections make it have more possiblities.
Cons: The only con is that I didn't see the future and to put larger drives in (which I will go to 8TB drives), I will have to copy the 4GB drive I have to the new 6 or 8TB drives then carry on from there. I want to change it to 4 each 6 or 8 TB drives (It will take the 8TB drives, but I am thinking of expense), with the first two striped and the other two as a stripped mirror. That will jump me from 4GB TO 12 OR 16 TB depending on what I do. Also QNAP only tested the HGST drives, which are way more expensive. I will go with Seagate or WD NAS drives.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Does what it should. Gives me extra ports to add to my 4 port (of course now 3 port) router.
Cons: None as of yetREAD FULL REVIEW
This review is from: WD TV Live Media Player WDBHG70000NBK-HESN
Pros: Small. Does what it's supposed to at a decent price. Much better than the previous model which I used for years. Built in WiFi. I can't see how it can be improved. I am a movie watcher and stream from my NAS. I don't use the other
Cons: If I had to pick a con, then the contol is to big.READ FULL REVIEW
