This review is from: ASUS X99-A LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: Good solid board, lots of features, no issues. 6 USB 3.0 ports on the back, but would have liked the 4 USB 2.0 (why bother with 2.0 anymore?) to be USB 3.1 ports instead.
Cons: Having problems with the M.2 SSD slot being recognized as the primary (C:) boot up device when installing Win7 64 Pro. I think I read somewhere others had the same issue and once they got it up and running they cloned the OS to the M.2 drive and it would then boot. Can't verify that as I just haven't had the time to play with them. On my 3rd rig, I just didn't bother with the M.2 drive and went right to a Samsung 850 EVO.
Other Thoughts: Bought 3 of these over the last 6-10 months for workstations and all 3 have been stable and running well. Well featured board.

This review is from: Crucial M500 CT240M500SSD1 2.5" 240GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Pros: Solid, fast SSD for a decent price.
Cons: None at this time.
Other Thoughts: I have bought a number of these in both 120 & 240 GB flavors and all have performed well. This isn't the fastest SSD on the street, but it's been fast enough and reliable for me at a good price point. I bought one that came with the "Data Transfer Kit". It's a basic yet very good cloning software and cable that's been fantastic for cloning old hard drives to the new SSD's that works very well with Win7.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: APRICORN ASW-USB3-25 USB3.0 to SATA Adapter
Pros: SIMPLE! Works great, no fuss.
Cons: None now that they have come out with the 3.0 version.
Other Thoughts: Got the 2.0 version bundled with a Crucial SSD. Worked so well, my IT guy decided to buy one just to keep in his bag. Way, WAY better than Ghost for cloning drives. Used this on several different computers (all Win7 based) from desktops, to laptops, HDD & SDD. It's just simple and easy to use.READ FULL REVIEW
