Pros: The price was nice, and when they work performance is very good.
Cons: 50% failure rate. One of the two drives had SMART errors right out of the box. It failed the first set of diagnostics I ran on it.
Other Thoughts: WD Black drives used to be high quality. Now, I am not so sure any more. These were my first WD drives since the Thailand floods. I had bought a couple WD Black 1 TB drives when the floods happened and held on to them. I finally used all of them and bought two recently manufactured WD Black 2 TB drives. A 50% failure rate is not encouraging.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: No dead or stuck pixels after one week of use. The monitor is 50000:1 dynamic contrast ratio instead of the 20000:1 in the specs on Newegg and even Samsung's own site. The box and the sticker on the monitor both said 50000:1. This was a home purchase and I love it so much I went ahead and ordered 10 for my office. This is my third 24 inch Samsung Monitor and it is better than the last two models I owned. The 1920x1200 resolution is awesome for developers and other professionals. This is a definite improvement in workspace over the vast majority of other monitors that only do 1920x1080 (1080p). Unlike some of the sub $200 monitors out there this one will allow full customization of the tilt and even rotates if you like reading documents full page in glorious high resolution. Unless you really do a lot of 1080p video, this may be a monitor to seriously consider.
Other Thoughts: Shipping from Newegg was very fast.READ FULL REVIEW
