Cons: Not really any cons other that Asus warranty's are worthless. The board started smoking slightly and died... I sent it back by RMA and just got a repair bill for 200 usd. I sent it in original packaging in a bigger box. Their excuse was it was damaged. this was my 4th Asus board and my last as I've read a lot of folk have a lot of issues with their X99 series boards.
I had bought one on a different web site to replace this one and it was supposed to be new and ended up being a refurbished . I installed it anyway and it would at least light up but on start it was dead too. For that one I got all my money back.
Other Thoughts: No I'd not recommend this board to anyone unless you like changing out motherboards.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Looks cool and it's modular.
Cons: After installing the computer wouldn't boot up. Turns out one of the S-ATA ports was not working.
I figured no big deal as I didn't need them all. Booted up and proceeded to work in Photoshop. The supply lasted 20 minutes before it died with a loud pop.
Other Thoughts: Cooler Master has always had a good reputation. Not sure what's up with this series but some certainly do have some problems. Maybe cheap caps? DunnoREAD FULL REVIEW
