This review is from: Corsair Gaming K70 RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - Cherry MX Red Switches
Pros: Great hardware. Beautiful.
Cons: The drivers and software literally do not work, and will also break other drivers and software on your PC. I've been trying to set this up since I bought it five hours ago. The CUE software can only intermittently detect the keyboard, it cannot update the keyboard firmware, the keyboard stops being detected when the computer sleeps, the lights typically freeze if they ever work at all, installing some light presets causes all light presets to stop working unless the CUE window is selected, the Keyboard shows up as SIX SEPERATE HID DEVICES in the device manager. It also caused all of my Logitech G-Series devices to stop working, including sound from my headset. Steam will also frequently freeze if the CUE window is open for some reason.
On top of that, even when the software is working perfectly it is nightmarishly un-intuitive and user unfriendly.
Apparently the problems I am expriencing are quite common and nobody has any effective solutions outside of "Reinstall your Operating system"
Other Thoughts: Trashiest drivers/software i have ever seen. Could have written better software myself.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Logitech G710 Plus Mechanical USB Gaming Keyboard
Pros: Works well with LGS and has about as many extra LGS features as you would expect a keyboard to have. (Logitech Gaming Software)
Cons: Keycaps are very fragile. The original commercial feature an actual tank rolling over this thing and they just put the keycaps back on and kept playing. Three keycaps on my mine have broken in less than a month.
Also lacks a lot of features found in other non-mechanical keyboards by Logitech, like cable routing, cloth cabling, audio jacks, etc. The only major feature it has is a one-port USB hub, but because of the power requirements of the LED backlights, the keyboard takes up two USB ports on your PC anyways. It's basically just an extension cable.
Other Thoughts: Logitech consistently shows that it has great potential products but always falls short of actually producing them. Most of the time I buy Logitech hardware knowing I will only be content with it, but not completely happy. This product however is unusable and not worth its price point.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Durable, responsive, lightweight
Cons: The retractable cord may not go in all the way after a lot of use
Other Thoughts: I'm very sad to see these discontinued. Best little pocket mouse I've ever owned. It's seen more computers than I can count and keeps on ticking. Currently my permanent desktop mouse.READ FULL REVIEW
