This review is from: TP-LINK TL-SG105 Unmanaged 5-Port Gigabit Desktop Switch, Metal Case, Power-Saving
Pros: Works as advertised. Good thoroughput. Worked at least as well as other higher home switches I have used. Solid metal case. Looks like a smaller version of a rack mounted switch. Ports and lights on correct side for instant analysis of the connection, speed, and activity, in the front.
Cons: Not as pretty as some desktop switches, but seems a lot sturdier.
Other Thoughts: Good value for the dollar. Good, sturdy switch.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: BUFFALO 500GB MiniStation External Hard Drive USB 3.0 Model HD-PCF500U3B Black
Pros: Does exactly what it says it will do. No real lag, good transfer times. Works with XP and Windows 7 with no issues. This disk is currently being used to transfer large amounts of audio data for a college radio station, and has performed flawlessly in this regard
Cons: None noticed. This is about as plug and play as it gets. Almost as you are using a large thumb drive.
Other Thoughts: For most applications this will be fine. Transfers and plays audio files with no discernible lag, even when using usb 2.0 instead of the faster 3.0READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WA850RE 300Mbps Universal Wi-Fi Range Extender. Wi-Fi Booster
Pros: it works. In fact, when in wired mode it seemed to work best. It is being used to get a signal extended to a basement from a second floor in a victorian. Signal on the receiving end is greatly improved.
Cons: Not sure if it is this product, or some form of band interference from something on one of the floors, but signal will drop suddenly sometimes. Again, not sure if this is even product related.READ FULL REVIEW
