This review is from: Verbatim 4.7GB 16X DVD+R 100 Packs Spindle Disc Model 95098
Pros: Zero failures
Good write speed options
Other Thoughts: Spindle cover can be used to hold pocket change, once full you can buy a nice toaster.
If you are getting failures, your drive is too old or made by a poor quality company.
This review is from: SABRENT PC to TV Converter Box TV-PC79 VGA Interface
Pros: Many old school options:
Ideal at 640x480 for televisions.
Cons: Lots of screen refreshes at 1028x768, and some at 800x600
No progress bar when adjusting settings. The quality represents composite quality, even through S-video. If you are using it for a SVGA extension you limit it.. A cheap extension cord would work better.
Other Thoughts: This unit I believe is mainly used for older TV's since nearly all of the new video cards do not have a S-video/composite output, nor do they have an adapter for it. This makes that possible through a DVI to SVGA. Since old televisions are 480i, it is best to set your settings at 640x480. It is very acceptable for your needs if you wish to continue to use an old tv.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Polk Audio Monitor40 Series II Two-Way Bookshelf Loudspeaker (Black) Pair
Pros: Very Clear sound
Very good power handling
Good height, great width
Cons: The depth is awkward, will need extended shelves if that is what you prefer for wall mounting to avoid altering the speakers themselves.
Other Thoughts: Talked to electrical engineer regarding impedance. When hooked up to an Ohm meter these register at 4 Ohm instead of the stated 8 Ohm. The electrical engineer explained the crossover is responsible for this error in resistance reading and that during nominal power output to the speakers it will correctly register to the amplifier/receiver a rough average of 8 Ohm. So worry not if you decided to do the same thing.READ FULL REVIEW
