One Year Review

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL

Pros: Great build quality, awesome customer support, not the fastest but still quick as the dickens, and all for a great price. I bought these when they were $100 and i'm still a happy customer

Cons: This isn't a con for G.Skill but it kinda sucks. Always check your memory in bios after installing it, if your running an AMD board it WILL be incorrect. Some intel boards read it incorrectly but its not very likely. In some cases, like in mine the board set the ram so incorrectly it caused it to be unstable. After some BSODs during Prime95 I contemplated RMAing the memory because I thought it was the issue. Looking in bios the motherboard had set the timings to C13 @ DDR 1333. After fixing the timings and frequency the memory worked like a charm.

Overall Review: I was able to OC this memory to C9 T1 @ 1776 with stock voltage. I was extremely impressed that memory not marketed as overclocking ram would take to it so well! (usually they are lower quality DIMMs)

Most Critical Review

Quality control...

Creative 70SB088000004 7.1 Channels 24-bit 96KHz PCI Express 1x Interface PCI Express Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium
Creative 70SB088000004 7.1 Channels 24-bit 96KHz PCI Express 1x Interface PCI Express Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium

Pros: I have owned Creative cards before, same pros as the older cards. EAX 5.0 support if you want to deal with the alchemy drivers to actually make it work in games. The different settings for the card are nice. (Game, Entertainment ect.) Good sound quality.

Cons: The reason for the three eggs was my card arrived bent.... Very bent, I couldn't fit it into my PCIe slot and have the I/O plate match up with the case.

Overall Review: Just disappointed, when I opened the box the card wasn't in any sort of anti static bag. Just sitting in an open box. I hope that what happened to me doesn't happen to anyone els. Because its very annoying to get something then need to spend even more money sending it back.

Does the job

Rosewill RX358 RX-358-U3B Full Aluminum Cover, metal tray 3.5" Black SATA I/II USB 3.0 External Enclosure
Rosewill RX358 RX-358-U3B Full Aluminum Cover, metal tray 3.5" Black SATA I/II USB 3.0 External Enclosure

Pros: All metal Fan to keep the drive cool USB 3 matte finish! no fingerprints!

Cons: Price, I bought it on sale for $20. But $59.99 is to much for what you get. The lights are, extremely bright, the hard drive happens to sit on the top of my tower next to my bed, blinding me when I try to sleep. If you don't care about the pretty blue lights, id recommend covering them up, or removing them.

Overall Review: Not a bad enclosure, but pricey.

Great Little Mouse

GIGABYTE M7700 GM-M7700 Noble Black Tilt Wheel USB RF Wireless Laser 1600 dpi Mouse
GIGABYTE M7700 GM-M7700 Noble Black Tilt Wheel USB RF Wireless Laser 1600 dpi Mouse

Pros: Two DPI presets Side Buttons Teflon Feet for smooth operation Great Price Nice Rubber Grips for thumb and pinky finger

Cons: The two DPI presets you can swap between by using the button behind the scroll wheel are very different. The speed increase is quite large, while it is good, it feels like a third preset to provide some middle ground would have been nice. The Teflon feet are extremely smooth, if your using it on a wooden desk you may notice the mouse kind of "Gliding" around, not really a con, but it can make an FPS type of game a bit of a chore.

Overall Review: For the price, its a very nice mouse. Battery life is rated at 6 - 9 months on the box, while they haven't run out yet, I have only had it for a month. Only time will tell

Great Motherboard

GIGABYTE GA-870A-UD3 AM3 AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
GIGABYTE GA-870A-UD3 AM3 AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Great build quality, good layout, simple bios, superb price. I am extremely happy with my purchase, I would and have recommended this board to friends looking to build mid range AM3 systems.

Cons: Only 1 x16 slot so its a single GPU motherboard with out question. Also, bios post takes a little longer than id call snappy, nearly 24 seconds from cold boot. Windows 7 boot time is 21 seconds lol

Overall Review: The first one I had, was defective in a way I had never seen before. The IO controller was dieing when I received it, after one week it died. The hard drive would be come unbootable after certain file write and read sizes. Super crazy issues, but after getting a new board its been running great for months. Took my 955BE C3 to 4ghz @ 1.5v completely stable, I also bought an enzotech MTS-88 for the MOSFET that are with out a heat sink. (To the left of the CPU socket) That heat sink is (practically) built for this board, it clips right on and works like a charm.

Great Headphones but think about your ear size first

Sennheiser - Professional DJ styled - Closed Dynamic Bass Headphones (HD 202)
Sennheiser - Professional DJ styled - Closed Dynamic Bass Headphones (HD 202)

Pros: The sound quality is fantastic for the price, rich bass, generally accurate higher ranges. Has a great sound canceling effect when listening to something. Super long cord, and cord wrapping belt clip included! It also sports a nice Sennheiser logo.

Cons: This is a con that is not the fault of the produce it is the fault of the user. (me). I bought two of these for myself and a friend. My friend enjoys them greatly, not one complaint. But my ears a larger than most, and after an hour or more of wearing them the pain is (seriously) unbearable. They tend to squeeze you'r head a little more than most headphones so if they don't fir your ears well it will more than likely cause discomfort after long listening periods. Again, its not the products fault, its my big ears.

Overall Review: Generally a good buy, your ear size matters. Be honest with your self, if you have big ears (like my self) these may not be the headphones for you. But for the price they are a fantastic buy, I sold them to another friend who has normal size ears and hes having a great time.
