Pros: LED back lit, low power consumption, great contrast, sharp picture, accurate color, no dead pixels, well constructed, beautiful, huge!, sturdy stand, easel mode, tilt and swivel. This monitor is amazing! Well worth every penny spent. There is no light bleed, the monitor is thin and I like the fact that they put very low profile rubber feet on the bottom of the monitor for use in easel mode. I also like the versatility being able to use it in easel mode and it will still tilt as you need it. Would buy again and again. Best monitor I have had thus far. I replaced a 24 inch Samsung BX2440 (which I thought was the the bomb until I got this) with no regrets whatsoever.
Cons: Maybe price. 400ish could be steep for some people. No up and down adjustment, however with a monitor this big no vertical adjustment is needed for me. Picture width and height cannot be adjusted when using HDMI. Also other features such as cinema mode and dual web cannot be utilized when using HDMI. You would think that the monitor would have a picture zoom option when using HDMI so that the entire screen could be utilized (black bars around entire screen). When using DVI there are no problems whatsoever and all features are available for use.
Other Thoughts: Would be nice to have a built in camera but this is rare with any monitor. Thanks for making such a beautiful and quality product LG!READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Color is amazing!!! Picture is as sharp as can be. Black is truly black. The versatility of this monitor is exactly what I was looking for (height adjustment, tilt, swivel, and portrait mode). Why manufacturers don't make all monitors with height adjustment, tilt and swivel is beyond me. My last monitor was a sweet 22 inch Samsung but didn't have the height adjustment nor tilt and it drove me crazy! So needless to say this new monitor is the coolest. Buy it!!!!
I don't think the blue light is overkill like others. In fact I think its brightness is just right. Also please note the cord placement is fine. I thought it was jacked up too unitl I read the directions on how to convert to portrait mode (you have to tilt the screen all the way out then turn to portrait and tilt the screen back in). Works like a charm and so beautiful. Also of note for those that think its darker on one side or the other try tilting the screen. If its not straight line of sight it will appear that way.
Cons: No HDMI, High gloss black base (scratches very easily).
Other Thoughts: I bought mine at costco because I always seem to get a lemon with everything I buy and have to exchange everything at least once. I had to go through 3 of these to get one that wasn't jacked up. The first one had a really loose powercord that would fall out everytime I turned it to portrait mode (despite following the directions: you have to tilt the screen all the way out, turn to portrait mode and then tilt back in). The next two were very stiff when turning to portrait mode and wouldn't tilt back in without making a horrible poping noise. Maybe costco got a bad batch or it mabey its just my bad luck.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: AFT XM-35U BLACK USB 2.0 3.5" Bay, CompactFlash/ SDHC/ SDXC/ microSD/ microSDXC/ miniSD/ miniSDHC/ MultiMediaCard/ Memory Stick/ xD-Picture Card. All-in-one Kiosk Card Reader and Writer
Pros: Okay those that say this takes up 2 of your USB ports on your motherboard are wrong, so don't let that stop you from buying this sweet, durable, card reader. When installing, you put the 2 black motherboard plugs together, matching the wire colors, and insert into ONE!!! USB port on the motherboard. Holding the ends away from you the red wires should be on the right and the black wires on the left when inserting. I don't know why they didn't come together in the first place, but everything works like a charm and takes only one USB port on the motherboard!
Cons: 2 seperate connections for the motherboard. Should have come as one wired connection.
No installation instructions, though it is kind of a no brainer for most of us.
Other Thoughts: They use this very card reader in the Kiosks at the photo department in Costco! That should tell you how durable this unit is. Also being that this is made for retail use could explain why the wire set up is a little funky.READ FULL REVIEW
