This review is from: GIGABYTE GA-X79-UP4 LGA 2011 Intel X79 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: my last two builds have been with gigabyte boards. not a fan boy because i have owned msi, biostar, asrock, and asus boards. gigabyte just seems to get their stuff right. plenty of expansion slots for cards. 1 and 3 pcie slots are x16. capable of 4 way sli and 8 dimm slots for ram. tons of ways to expand for the future
Cons: only con i have with it is if you are using an ivy-e proc you are stuck with the x79 chipset which was introduced with sandy-e. would have been nice to have a new chipset to be able to fully utilize with the new ivy-e chips. maybe that is in the pipe being worked on. who knows.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: I must have hit the silicon lottery. Got my chip up to 5.1 ghz stable on water cooling. Thing is a monster. upgraded from a 3770k that was overclocked stable at 4.3 ghz... night and day difference...
Cons: price is a little steep for most people... but when you get the chip for 300 with promo codes... kinda makes it look more appealing than a 4770kREAD FULL REVIEW
Pros: MASSIVE storage space. Great for storing your game recordings after you compress the files.
Cons: decent read/write... not going to be balzing fast with a 5400 rpm disc... in love with these HDDsREAD FULL REVIEW
