Buy this and Q6600

GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX All Solid Capacitor Intel Motherboard
GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX All Solid Capacitor Intel Motherboard

Pros: Q6600, this motherboard, 4gb Gskill, Zotac 8800gt 660mhz version, Seagate Barr. 250gb, 550w rosewill psu, antec 900 case. All stock cooling. Vista 64 home premium. New build. Vista installed flawlessly, updated through windows update, install drivers from nvidia for the 8800 gt. This MB is great. The new pc performs very well. Crysis on all VERY HIGH settings. 11600+ 3dmark06 at all stock speeds. 12800+ 3dmark with the cpu only OC'd to 2.7ghz through the gigabyte user friendly auto OC settings in BIOS. Very nice. I am sure it would be ridiculous if the cpu was OC to 3.0 ghz. But but but, it is all good at 2.4ghz stock settings for the next 1 1/2 years at least. BUY

Cons: That I bought an ASROCK AMD MB and a Phenom 9600 that didn't work before I bought this.

Overall Review: Rest assured, Q6600 and this motherboard is the way to go.

High hopes dashed

NZXT ROGUE Crafted Series SILVER ROGUE w. BLUE LED Silver Aluminum Micro ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
NZXT ROGUE Crafted Series SILVER ROGUE w. BLUE LED Silver Aluminum Micro ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: It looks good(opinion), it cools good for such a tightly packed unit, it's solid, well built from heavy metal.

Cons: The position of the power supply really interferes with working on the pc or putting anything in a pci slot. Problem is design flaw. The did not compensate for the size of nvidia and ati video cards at all. The motherboard try is supposed to slide out so you can add stuff nice and easy. It's a big fail. area is too small for the vid card to fit through, so ya gotta take out psu, and spend like an hour trying to position the whole tray JUST SO, so that you can fit a ati/nvidia card in it. To get it out, same deal. To put in any other pci card... same deal. I have had to do this 2 times now. If you are buying this case. You probably want to put everything in it at once, and not upgrade any time soon. Frustrating case to work with. IF NZXT had simply raised the psu up a little and cut the rear hole where the mb/tray slides out the back bigger... well, this could have been a 5 egg review.

Overall Review: Buy an Antec 900 when you can find it for 80 or less. I have that also, and it is so nice to work on.

Almost 2017 still going strong. Has been on nearly 24/7/365 since I bought it 6 1/2 years ago.

GIGABYTE GA-890FXA-UD5 AM3 AMD 890FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
GIGABYTE GA-890FXA-UD5 AM3 AMD 890FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Has worked well for more than 6 years under constant use with AMD Phenom 2 x4 965 BE. Not overclocked. Probably going to upgrade soon. I always buy gigabyte motherboards.

Cons: None

Card is good

PNY VCGGTX260CXPB GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 896MB 448-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card
PNY VCGGTX260CXPB GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 896MB 448-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card

Pros: it works good, performance is sexy. 4xAA in cod4 still getting 125 FPS. other games sexy too: l4d, tf2, crysis, sfiv, yadda yadda. it's nvidia peoples, you can't go wrong. card was inexpensive... paid like 1/2 prics of my 8800GT a year ago give or take, and it's worth it.

Cons: it's not as sexy as my gf.

Overall Review: if you are contemplating buying amd/ati products please learn from my mistakes and NEVER DO IT!!! even the top line stuff is FAIL!!!! blue screens? dumps? you want those? then buy amd/ati... if you want good working solid performance and GREAT SUCCESS than you buy intel and nvidia products.

This thing is so hot for ten bucks

Linksys WMP54GS-RM Wireless-G Adapter with SpeedBooster IEEE 802.11b/g 32-bit PCI Interface Up to 54Mbps Wireless Data Rates
Linksys WMP54GS-RM Wireless-G Adapter with SpeedBooster IEEE 802.11b/g 32-bit PCI Interface Up to 54Mbps Wireless Data Rates

Pros: okay, so I bought two of these when they were 10 bucks shipped free just to see what the deal was. put one in, installed the driver disc that comes with it, restarted pc, connected to my rosewill wireless n router. now i am wireless to my gaming pc, this card blazes. I have comcast $25 a month cable internet and I am pulling 19mbit/sec download and 2mbit/sec upload from closest server on speedtest. Latency (aka ping) is the same or slightly better than running ethernet cable from my rosewill router to my motherboard.

Cons: getting it to connect to your wireless router in vista may be confusing for some. just go to the manage network connections in control panel>network and choose the configure a wireless connection manually thing. Put in the router's name, choose whatever security your router is using (i.e. WEP) and put in your password. Then connect to your wireless.

Overall Review: It's just awesome

I hate this cpu so bad I don't even want to write a review

AMD Phenom 9600 Agena 2.3GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 2MB L3 Cache Socket AM2+ 95W Quad-Core Processor
AMD Phenom 9600 Agena 2.3GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 2MB L3 Cache Socket AM2+ 95W Quad-Core Processor

Pros: Newegg is the best for RMA/Refund. All thanks be to them for taking this pizza chit back and allowing me to purchase an Intel Q6600, which by the way is perfect.

Cons: New build, all new stuff, all from newegg. ASRock Alive 720hd R 5.0 motherboard, and Vista 64bit Home Premium. DOES NOT WORK! Oh no, not unless you have an OLD AMD chip that you can put in and flash the latest BIOS and install Vista 64 with. I did not. Problem origination. Put everything together, start installing Vista 64, gets to the point where it restarts for the first time. BSOD = "A clock interrupt was not received in the alloted time interval". AMD/Asrock tech support basically told me that I either had a bad chip or I needed to Flash a the newest version of the MB BIOS or I needed an OLD AMD chip to do all this with, THEN I could use this MB/CPU together. Umm, no thanks people, I'll just buy Intel/Gigabyte and it will work perfect out the box.

Overall Review: Will NEVER buy an AMD product again... or ASRock... period. Newegg is the best.
