Pros: Fast enough, multiple paper trays, automatic duplex, copy, scan to network, email, ...
Cons: Only two complaints. (1) With the optional tray 3 (stocked with #10 envelopes), the system moves from tray 2 to tray 3 automatically when tray 2 is empty, so that it starts pulling envelopes for paper. Hate that. (2) After scanning to network, the printer screen let's you know it's done, but won't fade to black until you press Ok. Hate that too.
Other Thoughts: I've had lots of other printers -- Brother, in particular -- but have been very happy with this printer in comparison. I love the optional tray 3 with envelopes. I use a template with letterhead and envelope (with color logo) and both pop out, with no manual feeding, ready to be mailed. Very satisfied overall.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: I have a large home and needed additional AP coverage in the basement. This nicely complements other Engenius APs in the house. It is stable and performs very well so far, and I expect it to be as good as the other Engenius APs I own.
Cons: But! Unlike the EAP600, this does not come with mounting screws for the mounting holes on the bottom of the unit. That would not be so bothersome if the screw holes were a more common size. I have to go to the hardware store to find screws that will work to mount this, and that's a pain. Also, set up is a bit of a hassle as with the EAP600. You will want to download the latest firmware before you begin, as you have to change the IP address in your computer's NIC to set this up and that will take you off the WWW.
Other Thoughts: All in all, I'm happy with this device, and would recommend it.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: This printer is awesome. It scans over the network to custom folders, and printers beautifully. I bought the add-on paper tray and loaded it with envelopes. Now I can print stationary (color logo) envelopes and stationary letters and don't even have to get up to hand-load an envelope.
Cons: None detected. I have not used the fax machine, so no comment on that.
Other Thoughts: Previously owned a Brother laser MFC. It crapped out after a year and the envelope feeder never worked. Also, network connectivity was problematic on the scanner. This system, by contrast, if absolutely awesome.READ FULL REVIEW
