This review is from: Logitech Harmony 688 Universal Infrared Advanced Universal Remote (Black)
Pros: Other than forcing me to break out a magnifying glass to read the model numbers off the back of my devices, this was dead-simple to set up. Now controlling HDTV, TiVO, Samsung Home Theater and media pc with ONE remote instead of 2-3. Niiiice.
Cons: "Activity" buttons are pretty small, making for smaller print area on them - hard to see, but thank goodness they're color-coded!
Harmony pc software is designed for a 1024x768 display, which my HDTV isn't :). Small interface tweak would help.
Other Thoughts: Using the Harmony software on the pc to make the remote switch to the pc for input very intuitive.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: It works - mostly. Position of the mouse button, trackball, and scroll wheel is thoughtful and efficient.
Cons: Keyboard action is spongy and unresponsive even at close, line of sight distances. The transmitter for this is sticking right out of the front of our mini pc that is about 8 feet away. Not impressed with this product's performance at all. The trackball skips and jerks and generally feels cheaply built.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Very easy setup and install of 64-bit Windows 7 Pro from a USB thumb drive. All basic drivers installed by Win 7 during the install, then via Windows Update it found several newer versions. Plays full-screen video off of a slow internet connection with (mostly) no problems.
Cons: Can't seem to locate a driver for "Co-processor" device anywhere. Doesn't seem to be affecting anything, but I wonder what I'm missing without it.
Other Thoughts: This little fella is part of a new (first, actually) HDTV/Tivo/Blu-ray entertainment set up. Now we get fulll-screen Hulu in the living room. Works great with the somewhat lackluster Adesso wireless keyboard I picked to go with this.READ FULL REVIEW
