Pros: Incredible reliability, speed, performance, beautiful display, great battery life.
Other Thoughts: I've owned lots of Dell Inspirons, and Toshiba laptops over the years. This is my first Lenovo. Although I paid a lot more than I would like to spend on a laptop, I decided I wanted a replacement for my desktop. This has not dissapointed. I can't express enough how reliable this machine has been. I've had it for almost 2 years now. I replaced the stock 500GB 5400RPM drive with an SSD (Samsung 830 Pro), and I upgraded the memory to 16GB. I also replaced the internal DVD-RW for BD-R that I got on e..Bay for $75, and I bought the port replicator. I love this laptop and am sold on the T series reliability, and will continue to purchase T series laptops.
Also, unlike the other reviewer that claims there's bloatware, I find that the Lenovo Update facitlity is well built and ensures firmware updates are applied periodically. I had one issue once with the sound driver, but Lenovo fixed that quickly.
Sadly, I am done putting my own desktop systems together. This machine met and surpassed all of my needs.
Pros: Latency is as fast as it gets
Cons: None yet
Other Thoughts: I installed this on a Thinkpad T530 in about 5 mins. My Windows Experience Index Memory ops went from 5.9 with the default 4GB to 7.6 with these babies. Woohoo!READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Great features (FTP, DDNS, DLNA, Media Server, etc), easy setup, it just works!
Cons: NAS takes a good 20-30s to come back up after it's gone to sleep; this causes issues with windows messing up credentials for mapped drives, printers not being recognized, etc. Also, some metadata for files is either not recognized or stripped off (like the size of a jpg for example); this causes issues for graphic designers.
Other Thoughts: Make sure you go to Synology website and get compatible HDs.READ FULL REVIEW
