Runs Great in my T530

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3L 1600 (PC3L 12800) Laptop Memory Model F3-1600C9D-16GRSL
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3L 1600 (PC3L 12800) Laptop Memory Model F3-1600C9D-16GRSL

Pros: Works great! Love G.Skill's lifetime warranty. Hope never to use it with these, but had to on a different system. Priced competitively to used ram on that popular auction site!

Cons: wish it cost even less? Apparently, when hacked, the t530 can run higher speed ram, up to 2100mhz...

Overall Review: Excellent G.Skill product as usual. Love having my t530 maxed out for ram.

Didn't Work

BYTECC IDE Adaptor IDE to SATA Converter For Drive
BYTECC IDE Adaptor IDE to SATA Converter For Drive

Pros: I wish it had some, seemed to work for others. It was from Newegg, and their returns are GREAT!

Cons: Crashed my Computer: if there was another drive on the cable, the Bios wouldn't finish the post tests; if there wasn't another drive, when I accessed the drive, the computer hung. Hangs off of the back of the drive, using the sata and power connections...if you don't like how tight the standard sata cables hold to the drives...these are worse.

Overall Review: I spent quite a while attempting to make it work, I tried the sata150 configuration on the drive, moving them around on the ide cables, same result. I'm very thankful for newegg's return policy!

I Should have Sent it Back Immediately

GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD5 AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD5 AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Looks nice Holds 4 pci-e x16 cards Lots of SATA ports AM3+

Cons: BIOS is flakey (I tried an upgrade when I purchased it and it failed. Only with some major internet searching could I get the "DUAL Bios" to reflash a working version. From time to time, it goes into a reboot loop that can only be exited by putting a 4gb simm in the place of the 8gb I normally use. Rejects 8gb simm of good memory (one works, the pair, not so much--following Gigabyte's directions for simm placement) Fights Linux (IOMMU problems)

Overall Review: I've used Gigabyte motherboards a number of times in builds and have liked them, but this one has really disappointed me. I seriously considered sending it back immediately, I thought a BIOS upgrade might help, but now that a new BIOS is released, again I can't install it, same old problem.

Works Well, but Not Liquid Metal

I seriously considered liquid metal, conductonaut, but for 1/3 the price, this is excellent. I replaced some older Arctic Silver and reduced processor temps by approximately a degree.
