-Handles everything I've thrown at it
-Good support from G.Skill
Cons: -First set went bad after 3 months
Other Thoughts: I bought this RAM in March of 2014. I had to manually change in the BIOS settings to have it run at 1866 but that was to be expected and wasn't an issue at all. In June or July of 2014 I started having random blue screens while web browsing so I tested the RAM and it immediately failed Memtest with a ton of errors. After some more testing, I determined one of the two sticks was bad so I contacted G.Skill support with what was going on and what I did to determine which stick was bad. They got back to me within a day or two with instructions for RMA. I sent it in and got a new set back within two weeks (all but a business day of that was shipping time). The new set I have had no issues with whatsoever. Due to the easy RMA process and how happy I've been with the RAM, I would definitely recommend this RAM.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: StarTech HDMIDVIMF HDMI to DVI-D Video Cable Adapter
Pros: Good quality
Cons: A little heavy for its size
Other Thoughts: I did not buy this through Newegg but I wanted to post a review to help people decide if this is what they are looking for.
This is taking a DVI-D cable and giving it the ability to plug it into an HDMI port. This worked flawlessly for me. I have two monitors that both only have HDMI and VGA capability but my video card has only one HDMI port and two DVI ports. One of my connections is HDMI to HDMI while the other one (thanks to this) is DVI to HDMI. I configured both monitors to the same settings and put the same background on both, and there is absolutely no difference in color or resolution (1920X1080) between the two.
If any connection is really close to the HDMI port you plan to plug this into, it will most likely block that connection so keep that in mind before buying this.
About audio capability: I've seen plenty of reviews for products like this complaining that they don't do audio. The reason for that is DVI is not meant to do audio in the first place, and adding an adapter to make it fit into an HDMI port does not magically add audio.
This review is from: Silverstone CPF01 3.94" PWM Fan Splitter Cable
Pros: -Works as it should
-Fits my fans and my motherboard with no issues
-Still shows on my computer as having four case fans despite only using three motherboard fan headers.
-Worked by just plugging both of my fans into it and plugging it into my motherboard.
Other Thoughts: I built myself a mid tower using an Antec 900 case and a Gigabyte Z87-HD3 motherboard (among other things). I forgot to check to make sure that there were enough fan headers to cover all of the case fans, which I was one short (three headers, four case fans). Not only that, but the cord of the 200mm top fan was not long enough to safely reach any of the headers. Even though I had sufficient airflow to keep everything cool, I really wanted to have optimal air flow as space was a little tight. I saw this was only $4 (at the time) so I figured I'd give it a shot. Not only does it work, my computer can detect both fans through the one header and speed control still works on them. It's been over three months now and I've still had no issues. It was definitely well worth the $4.READ FULL REVIEW
