This review is from: SONY DualShock 3 Wireless Controller Red
Pros: It was a very good price through Newegg a year ago and it appears to still be an extremely competitive price. All the general pros you'd consider about a branded playstation controller too.
Cons: I ordered 12/24/2011, the button began failing on the left control stick on 2/10/2013. It lasted 14 months when my first controllers lasted 5 years each. I have no kids and I treat my electronics compulsively well so I was shocked to say the least.
The rep acknowledged I was just outside the 12 month warranty and I was outside the 25 day grade period as well. They said I should just buy another controller because repair would be just as much as a new controller.
They're right that it just missed the warranty window by days and perhaps that's ok with you that they said tough luck with no consolation. But, for me, if a company sells an expensive product with their brand name that's designed to last for years and it fails after just one, at least empathize that it's very very tough luck and cut me a discount on a new controller. Sony could learn a lot from Logitech.
