Pros: Quiet little server
Quad-Core Xeon E3
Low Power Consumption
I chose this server since it was best value for money plus, awesome specs and fits my need perfectly. Looks and feels reliable and long lasting. As always, arrived much before newegg promised...
Cons: None I can think of. The only possible drawback is that this server has two 3.5" drive bays and you have to use the empty 5.25" drive bay for the 3rd drive which is what I did.
Other Thoughts: Installed Slackware Linux on it. Will be working as a little NFS server, web server, mail server, imap server, samba server for windows clients and I'll throw something else at it if it can handle it.
I've added 8GB Corsair RAM in addition to 4 GB that came with the server. Installed two 3TB HGST Red NAS drives to hold all the data.
Pros: Great motherboard. Works well with Win 7 and Linux (OpenSUSE 13.1). I am using the AMD A8 APU. Built system for normal desktop usage...no gaming. Seems more than adequate for the purpose.
Cons: None so farREAD FULL REVIEW
Pros: Great camera, shoots nice videos. I have not tried full HD yet. Produces video files in mts format. If you're using Linux like me, you can play them with mplayer/vlc directly. You can convert them to mkv/mp4 very easily with ffmpeg/mencoder.
Size is awesome. This is one little camera.
No tapes...although I would say tapes provide an additional backup of sort.
Cons: 1. Only 8GB onboard storage. I wish it was atleast 16 GB.
2. This is not really a con but I would like dedicated buttons for select,up & down. The lcd interface is completely touch based.
3. Battery life is not that great.
