This review is from: GELID Solutions FN-PX08-20 80mm Case cooler
Pros: Quiet. Low-cost.
Cons: Disappointing airflow, I can just detect it with my hand. It creates a 4" static cloud of hot air around the CPUs. I suspect going for more airflow with a bit more noise is worth the trade-off.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Pioneer SP-BS41-LR 2 CH Bookshelf Loudspeakers Pair
Pros: Low Cost, Good Bass and Midrange.
Cons: Limited High Frequency, rear port prevents wall mounting or bookshelf use.
Other Thoughts: The speakers are a good choice for around $100 and limited expecatations.
They have very impressive bass for their size (moves lots of air) but its not particularly tight. They don't live up to rave reviews in some magazines. In particular, high frequencies (such as cymbols) are noticably reduced compared to speakers costing $500 or more per pair; I used my amp's tone controls to compensate. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.
This review is from: Westinghouse Westinghouse 47" 1080p LCD HDTV w/ ATSC Tuner TX-47F430S
Pros: Low cost: under $1000 in well-known warehouse club (sorry newegg) 6/27/08
Very crisp display on PC input. The auto adjust feature
for the PC input works well, but I think it sometimes
forgets the settings.
Cons: Appears to hang occassionally (requires holding power button to reset);
I suspect related to auto-switching input between PC and TV.
Tuner software very primitive (poor for surfing): it's not possible to label channels
or have more than three favorite channels and tuner takes 1/2 second
to display video.
Other Thoughts: I use this set primarily as a display for an HTPC, so the
tuner isn't really my primary concern, however, the set
has hung 4 times since I bought it, which is a concern.
