Not bad for an AMD
Pros: I'm an Intel guy & impressed w/ this one. EZ O/C to 2.7GHz set the FSB to 216 and there you go. haven't yet tweaked any other settings yet. Runs very stable, would like to see it get 3.4GHz as stated on previous review. I might invest in water cooling for that mark. Idle @ 37C, a little too warm for my taste but still isn't that bad, load @ 49C. The price was too good to pass on, combo'd w/ Biostar TPower N750.
Cons: None so far
Overall Review: It didn't really help the Dow Jones Industrial Average today.
Failed customer support
Pros: Not with this. This is the 2nd one. Guess I didn't learn the 1st time.
Cons: Board started to fail. Did all the required troubleshooting. Customer service kept coming up with all sorts of new methods of troubleshooting. I replaced with another board and my computer is up and running. I'm just trying to get a simple RMA to replace. Customer service section is conveniently unavailable after going through all the hoops to fill out online.
Overall Review: Epic fail on customer service and this is the 2nd ECS board I have bought. No more. :(
Flawless
Pros: Bought two pairs of these for my gamer. They have worked w/o any problems.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Patriot makes great RAM. Wish I had bought them at the current price, oh well. Time to upgrade to 16Gb now.
Better than stock
Pros: It's running 10 deg. C cooler than stock @ idle so far, hoping it'll lower some more once the paste cures on the sinks & gpu itself. Installed w/ Gelid GC Extreme thermal paste. Simple to install.
Cons: If thermal tape doesn't have the 3M logo on it....don't use it! This VGA cooler does not have very good tape. Use thermal adhesive for the h/s or they will fall off. Fortunately I always keep some Artic Silver thermal adhesive for such occasions and was prepared.
Overall Review: Installed on a EVGA 9800 GTX & monitoring temps w/ EVGA Precision 2.0. - Fans @ 40%
Simple & Effective
Pros: Simple yet effective design - works & looks good in Thermaltake Armour control panel bay. 1 thru 4 Pre-labled cables
Cons: Knobs don't go to "11" ;)
Overall Review: Newegg Rocks
Outstanding
Pros: Made a huge difference for the better in tx/rx signals for my HP Pavilion DV7-1135nr. I use this exclusively while on the road and I spend a lot of time on hotel networks. It's interfaced w/ the HAWKING HWUG1 USB adapter. I gladly retired my directional 12db gain antenna.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: A longer cable would be nice.
